Talking Books National Library Service

Nassau residents of all ages who have difficulty reading standard printed materials due to a visual or physical disability are eligible for Talking Books, a federally supported service. This service is sponsored by the New York Public Library's Andrew Heiskell Braille & Talking Book Library. Materials and a special player are mailed to your home free of charge. Many titles are also available for free digital download.

Applications may be obtained from Outreach Librarian Jim Brown in the Adult Services Office or by calling him at 248-7363 ext.339.  Patrons may also vist NYPL online: http://talkingbooks.nypl.org or call toll free 1-855-697-6975.
