Caregiver Support Group

April 15th at 9:30 AM, Dora Lupo, Group Facilitator, Nassau County Office of Human Services, Department of Mental Health will facilitate a support group for all caregivers in the Library's Community Room. Participants will have an opportunity to share experiences and help one another. No one should be alone!


Senior Rap Group

This discussion group for the 55+ set is led by Senior Connections volunteer facilitator, Ken Rose and meets on the first Monday of the month. The topics vary and the conversation is lively and provocative. Anyone interested in joining the group may attend the next session on April 7th from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the Community Room. 


Pet Food Drive

Senator Jack Martins is sponsoring a pet food drive in cooperation with Long Island Cares. Donate pet food to help more pets stay at home with their families and out of shelters.  The best sizes are 5-10 bags of dog and cat food. Canned food, kitty litter and new pet toys will also be accepted. Don't forget hamsters, fish and ferrets too! Food for all pets will be accepted. The Library will have collection boxes for pet food until the end of April.


SAM (Smart Access Manager) is Coming to Shelter Rock!

SAM is a Print Management System which will facilitate ease of printing for all patrons. Due to the installation, the Internet will not be available all day on Wednesday, March 26th.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
